Clear!...Now Shocking!:
  • Coronation Street (UK) Ep 4740
Prepping for Defib:
  • Added a new blog site Rescue 911 Kids to the family.  It will feature segments of the american tv series Rescue 911 that feature pediatric patients in rescues not requiring cpr or defibrillation.  Depending on user feedback it might also play host to other previously-posted CPR Kids clips.

  • Was able to watch a few of the new Kyumei Byoto Ji-5 episodes.  Trying to find a site to watch and rip from.   Episode 8 might be a possibility but I can't find one to watch.  I should be getting the Korean show Good Doctor 1, 4/5, and 17 off youtube soon.
29-May-2014 Youtube going copyright happy on all E.R. (USA) clips.  I just moved five more of them to uloz.to.  Now taking suggestions for reliable long-term alternate streaming sites.  I've already tried Dailymotion and they've deleted clips due to copyright claims just like YT does with no warning.  Even uloz.to, my current alternate site, has occasionally deleted clips but I think that's due to server problems on their end as they are very good about hosting files long-term.

Still would like the following:
If anyone from the Middle East or elsewhere can find the show called "37 dc", i'm interested in checking this out for defib clips.  This looks like a middle eastern version of Scrubs  My main source of finding new shows is the Medical Dramas wiki and this one just keeps grabbing my eye when I go over the list.

I'm also on the lookout for full seasons of the german tv series Alphateam and Hallo, Onkel Doc!  If there is any fans of these series that have them in their collection I would appreciate it if you could scan them for defib clips.

Comments and contributions are welcome here.

Please check the Wanted List on the right (mobile users "view web version"). If you know of any pediatric defibs in tv and film that should be here send an email to defibkids@gmail.com or leave a comment with detailed info and a link to it.

Hello DK Fans.

(1)  I want to announce the creations of the DK sister sites CPR Kids and Rescue 911 Kids.  You can click the links here or in the DK News post above.

CPR Kids was created because a loyal fan asked if I would make a site to feature clips I pass over posting on Defib Kids due to lack of pediatric defibrillation in them but still show use of cpr or other lifesaving measures on a kid in cardiac arrest.  I think it is a wonderful idea.  I wish I had done it long ago.  There are many scenes in tv shows and movies I looked at over the last few years but never kept due to lack of defib kids.  Sadly, many of those download links are dead and the videos lost to the ages.  I ask that you please help me create this new site and make it as big if not bigger than Defib Kids is.  So please hunt on youtube and elsewhere and find lots of CPR Kids as well as Defib Kids.  I wish you all the best of luck.  I suggest starting with episodes of Spoed that are now viewable publicly on youtube as well as any In Aller Freundschafts.  I think even a few of those Lifetime TV movies for women might even have a few.

Rescue 911 Kids was created to feature segments of the american tv show Rescue 911 where a child was rescued but didn't need cpr or defibrillation.

(2)  Should I make the DK and CK Wanted Lists regular posts below the DK and CK News posts or leave them off to the right?  I'm considering this change because of the popularity of tablets and phones with mobile browsers.  Fans visiting site on those would not see them unless viewing web version of site.  My only concern is the DK Wanted List is very long and returning fans might get annoyed with scrolling down past it to get to new video clips.

Thank you,
Joey (aka DK)

A ten-year-old boy named Simon is rushed into A and E on Christmas Day after being hit by a car while on his bike.  After he goes into cardiac arrest he's given no less than five defib shocks in an attempt to restart his heart.  Despite the best efforts of the A and E staff Simon dies.  In the waiting room his distraught mother goes into hysterics when she is told.

Thanks to a contributor for sending this one to dk news.  I think this is one of the best defib kids I've seen in a very long time.  See if you can pick out whats wrong with the defib scenes and comment on it.

A young boy named Evan Somers (actor Harry Harmon) comes to the ER with his dad.  He has a fever and is not feeling well.  The boy has a toy truck and an inhaler in his pocket.  They have been waiting a long time to see a doctor.  The father can't stay for fear of losing his job.  The boy doesn't want to stay in the ER without him so they leave together before the boy gets a thorough checkup.  While at his dads workplace Evan has trouble breathing and he uses up his inhaler.  Dad calls paramedics and they rush him back to Holby ER where Dr. Hanna suspects he has meningitis.  At some point (offscreen) Evan goes into cardiac arrest and cpr is started and pediatric aed pads are placed on his chest and back.  After finally getting the boy into vfib they shock him a couple times till he regains normal sinus and bp.  They then take him to the picu.

After watching this episode I have to wonder if there are more Defib Kids or CPR Kids in series 26, 27, and 28 I might have missed due to the closure of thebox uk torrent site.  I also imagine there are many clips in Holby City I have missed as well.  I tried following that show a number of years ago and it was hard to find stuff.

A young teenage boy riding a motor scooter crashes.  During emergency surgery he goes into cardiac arrest and is hit with the defib paddles at 300 joules a few times till they get his heart going again.

I saw this show a long time ago.  I think the boy who codes is the son of the character that ran in during the defib.  It's probably because he had a recurring role as her son that they actually defibbed him back to life rather than let him die.  In all other instances I have seen of pediatric resus in this show they have only done cpr on the child for a short period before pronouncing death.  No other child in cardiac arrest on this show has ever been given defib shocks or been brought back from a cardiac arrest that I know of.  In other words a lot of kids died on this show.  It's my understanding this was intentional to portray the show as realistic and not give "false hope" to viewers.  If anyone else has seen any episodes, maybe I missed one, and can find me another defib kid I'll be amazed.

A 15-year-old girl named Helena (actress Julia Dalavia) drowns while swimming with friends.  After they get her to a hospital the doctors do cpr, thump her chest, and ambu bag her before giving her a defib shock and listening to the flatline on the heart monitor.  As she lies there lifeless her mother arrives and starts cradling her dead body in her arms before she miraculously comes back to life and spits up water like a fountain.

A 16-year-old girl is hit in the head by a softball while pitching a game.  She tells the doctor and nurses she's been taking steroids off and on for two years and will quit when she gets into college.  At one point she goes into VTAC and then cardiac arrest.  The doctor does cpr on her and hits her with the defib paddles but it's no good.

A family is in a motor vehicle rollover crash.  The baby is found later on.  After being rushed to the emergency room (not sure if male or female) it goes into pulseless VT at 180bpm and the doctor shocks it three times at 30 joules to convert it back into normal sinus.  I loved his last line after yelling at the paramedics who were standing there watching.

Depending on responses I get to this one I might post the two baby defib clips from the House, M.D. (USA) tv series.  I had originally polled DK fans about that two or three years ago when I first started this blog and the response was not to post them at that time because it was obvious the doctors were working on dolls rather than living babies.  Even in this clip it's obvious the baby isn't real but it is very lifelike so I feel with a little imagination there is still a level of fear for the viewer the baby may die.  Please make comments here about possibly adding those two clips from House M.D. to DK.  Thank you.

This is the Chilean version of the Catalan series Polseres Vermelles, which was about a group of sick kids who band together while in hospital.

Ep 3

Ignacio (actor Joseff Messmer), a boy with a heart condition, has a heart attack one morning in his bedroom that he shares with the comatose Lucas (actor Matias Bassi).  The staff rushes in and defib him a few times to bring him back from his short visit to Lucas in limbo.

Ep 9

Ignacio (actor Joseff Messmer) is going into heart surgery while his parents and his only real friend from school wait outside.  During the operation Ignacio goes into cardiac arrest and visits Lucas once again in limbo.  They spend a lot of time together as the doctors desperately try to save him.  I think a record was broken for the total number of times Ignacio was defibrillated.  In the end, like the last two series, he goes onto heaven, leaving his family and all his new friends behind.

This is the Chilean version of the Catalan series Polseres Vermelles, which was about a group of sick kids who band together while in hospital.

Sebastian (actor Santiago Figueroa) is going into surgery to have his leg amputated.  During surgery he goes into cardiac arrest and visits the younger boy Lucas (actor Matias Bassi) in limbo.  Unlike the previous two series where it was an olympic-sized swimming pool, Lucas' limbo this time is set at a beautiful mountain pond.  Sebastian and Lucas spend time swimming there while the doctors do cpr and defibrillate him to get him back.
